Can Yoga Improve Mental Health

Yoga encourages us to pay greater attention to our parasympathetic nervous system. In other words, it encourages

us to exercise acceptance more so than the flight or fight response. Deep breathing exercises help

us to become more aware, which calms our nervous system and improves our mental health. For this reason, 

practicing yoga can help us have better mental health. The practice of mindfulness and the art of

present-moment living may be ingrained via yoga. Additionally, when we are present, we are more aware of our

thoughts. We then have the chance to express criticism and judgment. Being non-judgmental

relieves stress, improving mental health in general as well as attention and concentration.
