Do birds get tired of standing?

Birds usually have muscular tendons in their feet to make up for the

strain of standing for extended periods of time. However, birds occasionally

weary of standing. To reduce fatigue, some birds switch between

their legs. However, when roosting, birds are in a half-standing, half-sitting

position, which doesn't seem to put too much stress on the bird's legs.

Perching when roosting is said to be unwinding and non-stressful.
