What are the health consequences of too much sugar?

Your diet gains calories from added sweets but none from necessary elements. It is challenging to develop 

a balanced eating pattern without consuming too many calories when you consume excessive amounts of

added sugars through food and beverages. Type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and weight gain are just a

few of the health issues that can result from eating too much sugar.  No more than 200 of an adult's

2,000 daily calories from added sugars should be consumed. Alternatively, no more 

than 120 calories out of every 1,200 calories that toddlers ingest each day should come from added sugars.
