What percentage of an eagle’s diet is fish?
Many eagles' main source of food is fish, which is why you might encounter them in bodies of water.
An eagle can finish up a whole pound of fish in about four minutes. The eagle can easily tear through
its prey because to its powerful talons and beak. Depending on where it lives, the eagle consumes
anywhere from 75% to 90% fish on a regular basis. Eagles living close to heavily populated water
sources would eat more fish than eagles living in dry places. In addition to fish, other small
animals including squirrels, raccoons, and rabbits are also common prey items for eagles.
